Our Providers
Mark Awoniyi, MD
“Dr. Mark” is a board certified MD specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Awoniyi received in B.S. in biochemistry at Oakwood University. He later graduated from UAB 2006 with a MD degree. After receiving his doctorate in medicine Dr. Mark then went to UAMS(University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) and completed his specialty training in 2010. While at UAMS Dr. Mark was received the highest award for the highest test score in the program on national specialty test(SAE) and was promoted to the chief resident(the medical doctor supervising all the other MD’s in the residency program). Dr Mark moved back to Northern Alabama in 2010 and has been faithfully serving the North Alabama area since then!
Even though he has extensive training, accomplishment, and credentials, He is best known for his intensive knowledge, great bed side manner, relatability, and kindness.
Amber Wren Thomson, APRN
“Amber is known for her compassionate care for the NARAPS patients. She is a dedicated patient advocate and pays really close attention to details. She always greets the patient with a smile and treats them like they’re part of the family.
